Although not a bad engine, the 3.0-liter V-6 offered in the
Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain is not much to write home about either. The
site was also the last consumer-oriented GMC Denali to stand without a model.
With the 2013 GMC Terrain Denali, both will change. Under the hood of the field
is familiar Denali 3.6-liter V-6 GM in place
instead of above 3.0. It makes 301 hp and 272 lb-ft of torque, a significant
improvement over the 3.0’s 264 hp and 222 lb-ft. Despite the extra power and
displacement, GMC says that fuel consumption is not affected, which means that
the terrain of Denali have the same 16/23 mpg city / highway rating have to get
the EPA in 2012 as a V-6 engine site . GMC Terrain wills also Denali
with the basic I-4 engine.
Cosmetically, the Denali
area from the rest of the series is due to its honeycomb-style grille, matt
chrome accents, chrome exhaust tips, and slightly revised front and tail
lights. Four-cylinder models with 18-inch wheels are fitted, six-cylinder
models get 19-inch model. Inside there is a leather-covered steering wheel with
mahogany accents, power front seats and a soft-touch dashboard. Prices will be
announced closer to the scheduled arrival time in the third quarter of this
year. As a reference, a 2012 GMC Terrain SLT-2 AWD with the V-6 was
approximately $ 35,335 including destination, while a base-model 2012 Cadillac
SRX is $ 36,360.
