Although the Volkswagen Up is not for the U.S., those interested and able, Wolfsburg automaker knows
how to get town car, it will come with a whole new, and more efficient gearing

The ASG is essentially a computerized version of the Up the
regular five-speed cog swapper, and both in three and five door versions of the
Up and High available ... uhm, Upper variants. Although, because it is
automated, the transmission is operating in conjunction with computer control
and stability ECU, which then tells the transmission what gear is best for the
current state of the roads. Unfortunately, there is no steering wheel-mounted
paddle shifter.
The field for the new ASG Up creates an increase in average
fuel economy of 1.4 mpg, mpg for an average of 64.2, while the CO2 emissions to
drop to 103g/km 2g/km. The Volkswagen Up ASG is now available for order and
deliveries are expected to begin in October this year.
